- Perform systems administration of desktop, mobile, and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, including account monitoring, security, operating and system installation.
- Support operating system accreditation, recommend new or emerging technology/software, and support IT system infrastructure troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Provide guidance on automation solutions to complex information processing problems, and support enterprise solution software to integrate business areas.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the team.
- Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Minimum 12 years of experience related to systems administration with at least a portion of the experience within the last two years.
- Experience administering desktop and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
- Experience with advanced system and network management best practices in the Intelligence Community (IC).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud services, and advanced security practices.
- Experience performing system optimizations and diagnosing complex issues.
- Understanding of IC system architecture and the ability to implement and manage enterprise-level solutions.
- Experience writing HTML, JavaScript, and/or Python.
- Knowledgeable of and demonstrated ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
- Professionalism and effective communication skills are critical.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally; with strong grammar skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, without oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide expertise to junior members of the team.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize nuances and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information.
- System administration certification, such as CISA.
- Master's degree in an area related to systems administration from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor's degree related to systems administration from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional five years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master's degree.

The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for a Senior Computer Scientist (Systems Administrator) to join our team supporting a U.S.
federal government intelligence agency. This role supports the dissemination of critical Defense intelligence to DOD executives. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, professionalism, and be motivated to support the warfighter. This position is contingent upon contract award.What you'll be doing:

Pay Range $108, $196,225.00
