- Coordinate the integration of Maintenance department functions into the overall business plan, ensuring that equipment, buildings, grounds, and assets operate in a cost-effective and safe manner.
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals, motivating them to perform at high standards and maintain a positive work environment.
- Keep company equipment running at optimum performance by utilizing preventative maintenance procedures, and planning and scheduling to reduce production downtime.
- Work closely with Maintenance department personnel to provide direction and support in staffing and monitor the performance of the department.
- Recommend, test, and implement new equipment as needed to improve productivity, efficiency, and return on investment.
- Collect and analyze data to make fact-based decisions regarding equipment maintenance, replacement, parts inventory, and PM scheduling.
- Actively participate as a member of the safety team, continually monitoring and recommending changes to maintain a safe workplace.
- Maintain all government-mandated programs to ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards.
- Develop and manage the annual department budget.
- Operate and maintain a variety of meat processing equipment, including grinders, forming equipment, freezers, and packaging machines.
- Minimum of five years of progressive responsibility, including front-line management within a production environment.
- Experience with refrigeration/freezing systems such as ammonia, liquid nitrogen, and CO2 is preferred.
- Ability to lift 60-80 pounds and engage in physical activities such as bending, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, use common hand and power tools, climb ladders, and work in elevated areas.
- Work environment includes the production floor and general office areas, with temperatures ranging from 40°F in production areas to zero degrees in freezer areas.
- Requires ear protection on the production floor due to noise levels, while moderate noise levels are typical in other areas.
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to assess and resolve issues within the department and with employees effectively.
- Able to manage a diverse workforce with firmness and fairness.

Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the 2nd shift. This role is responsible for leading, overseeing, managing, and coordinating the daily operations of the Maintenance Department. This includes evaluating processes and procedures for efficiency and profitability.
