    The Planner Scheduler P5 performs advanced aspects of planning/scheduling, project controls and administrative scheduling functions. They are responsible for analyzing data to develop Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules on proposals and contracts. In coordinating and integrating schedules with external customers, this role requires monitoring progress and reports, updating in a timely manner to satisfy proposal and/or contact release dates, and providing project status reporting, summary, and analysis.
    • Develop CPM schedules for highly complex projects, including development of process maps (work flow), and work breakdown structures.
    • Act as an expert in the application and use of P6
    • Collect data and updates from various sources and provide progress update, data inputs, and produce schedule reports.
    • Lead coordination of schedules with internal and external customers/partners, as well as, project status reporting, summary, and analysis.
    • Must work with Project Stakeholders and be able to represent the company and project interest in front of customers.
    • Perform scheduling studies and what-if scenarios, be able to articulate the results to the project team.
    • Develops and maintain Project Scheduling Control Processes, Policies and Procedures and ensures that they are followed from Proposal Phase to Project Close-out.
    • Responsible for resource loading, physical quantity tracking, and person-hour tracking.
    • Participate in Project Support Team activities and periodic audits of process to ensure scheduling procedural compliance
    • Provide support and guidance to Scheduling personnel and assist with troubleshooting project scheduling issues as needed
    • Champion all initiatives associated with Project Controls Scheduling Function
    • Develop and maintain Primavera Schedules as required
    • Perform various types of analysis including trend analysis, graphics analysis, earned value analysis, productivity analysis, and risk analysis (or any other identified Key Performance Indicators) .
    • Communicate analytical findings to various levels of the project and management, be able to articulate the meaning and possible ways to mitigate negative findings.
    • Manage changes in the schedule and communicate the impact to higher management and the customer.
    • Using various software packages, import and export data and perform data integration.
    • Make formal presentations and generate reports for management and the customer.
    • Act as lead scheduler for projects as identified. Direct schedule integration and updates of project partners.
    • Lead training of others as required. Perform all other duties as required.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
    • 10+ years of experience in the power, process, or chemical industry
    • Oracle Certified Specialist is highly desirable (i.e.: Professional Advance Scheduling & Advance Resource & Cost Management)
    • Primavera P6 Certification is considered a strong asset
    • Strong understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method), earned value concepts, and calculations
    • Proficient in various software packages, such as MS Office Suite (Advance Excel User), MS Projects, & other.
    • Working knowledge of P6 application intricacies, setup, database configuration and advanced concepts for moving data between systems.

    • Proven ability to work with internal and external customers to understand their requirements
