    Role description:

    As a Cost Engineer, your primary responsibility is to analyze, report and optimize the financial operations within the organization. You will play a crucial role in managing costs, budgets, analyzing financial data, and implementing strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective payment processing.

    Role accountabilities:
    • Gather data on similar projects, market trends, material costs, and labor rates. Utilize historical data and industry reports to inform your forecasts.
    • Identify potential risks such as supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, or unforeseen site conditions. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address these risks.
    • Regularly review project costs against budget allocations. Use tools like cost breakdown structures and variance analysis to identify areas where costs may exceed budgeted amounts. Adjust forecasts and resource allocations as necessary.
    • Monitor project milestones and timelines closely to ensure they align with the budget and client expectations. Identify any delays or deviations and take corrective actions to keep the project on track.
    • Generate detailed cost estimation reports that outline all project expenses, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs. Regularly update these reports to reflect changes in project scope or conditions.
    • Collaborate with project staff to allocate resources effectively, considering factors such as skill levels, availability, and cost efficiency. Optimize resource utilization to maximize project profitability.
    • Continuously assess project profitability by comparing actual costs against projected revenues. Adjust cost estimates and pricing strategies to maintain target profit margins.
    • Evaluate design proposals based on client requirements, cost constraints, and profitability considerations. Recommend design modifications or alternative approaches to stay within budget parameters while meeting client needs.
    • Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of project options and identify opportunities to increase profit margins. Consider factors such as market demand, competition, regulatory requirements, and financial feasibility.
    • Analyze labor costs by job function and contractor performance to identify inefficiencies or cost-saving opportunities. Implement measures to improve productivity and optimize labor resources.
    • Review purchasing contracts to ensure compliance with program regulations, contracting rules, and policies. Identify any discrepancies or risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
    • Provide cost analyses for project-related proposals, including pricing models, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments. Ensure that proposals are financially viable and competitive in the marketplace.
    Qualifications & Experience:
    • 8+ Years of experience in Cost Management on large Civil or other Engineering Infrastructure Programs
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in financial analysis and cost management, preferably in payment processing or financial services.
    • Familiarity with MS Office suite for Project Planning. P6, Primavera. Project Cost Structure and tools( SAP,EcoSys, etc) and Methodology.

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $120,000- $140,000.
