    Description


    A large multidisciplinary firm with a strong backlog of projects located in Melville, NY, is on the lookout for a talented Traffic Engineer to join their team.

    In this role, you'll be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and optimizing traffic systems for improved safety, efficiency, and functionality. You'll have the chance to work on diverse projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable transportation solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Conducting Traffic Analysis
    Designing Traffic Signals
    Developing Roadway Designs and Geometry
    Implementing Safety Enhancements
    Ensuring Regulatory Compliance
    Performing Traffic Impact Assessments
    Preparing Documentation and Reports

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
    Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
    Minimum of 8 years' experience in traffic engineering
    Proficiency in traffic engineering software like SYNCHRO, VISSIM, and AutoCAD
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills
