In this CDL (Grapple Truck operator) and Tree Trimmer you will assist climbers by working on the ground, handling tools, and heavy materials as needed for our maintenance and residential customers.

This includes removing trees as well as cleanup, disposal, and removing broken limbs, etc.

You will also perform a variety of heavy manual labor tasks for extended periods of time in potentially unfavorable weather conditions.

*Responsibilities include:

• Willing to work in Hot / Cold / Wet, weather conditions.

* *Tree Trimming Experience & CDL Driver and Grapple Truck Experience- Required

• Sets up job sites, work zone cones, drop zone, puts advance warning signs out.
• Organizes truck cabinets & cleaning inside truck.
• Sharpens & Cleans Chainsaws
• Greases Equipment
• Moves Logs, Lift up to 80 lbs.
• Cleans work area, raking & shoveling debris.
• Drags brush & operates chipper.
• Ground Cutting
• Pole saw & hanger pole use.
• Spotter
• Aware of Drop Zone
• Will learn & use, knots, Porter Wrap use, groundman roping & rigging tasks.
• Job Briefing Training
• Ariel Rescue Training
• Assist trimmer or climber with job tasks.
• Trimmers or Equipment Operators Apprentice, in training.

*Requirements include: * 2+ years of tree care experience preferred.

• Valid FL driver's license with no major violations in the past 3 years
• Excellent communication skills - must be able to read and write English.
• Monitor all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance.
• Maintains a clean and safe job site.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position including regularly lifting to and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Must have the ability to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times per day.
• Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks such as rain, heat, sun, cold, and snow.
• Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, storm work) and will be subject to call-out work.
