Title Postdoctoral Fellow - Chlamydia Research Specific Title Appointment Type Postdoctoral Fellow Department IUSM - Microbiology & Immunology Campus IU School of Medicine Indianapolis Position Summary

The Nelson laboratory in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a senior postdoctoral fellow who will investigate the molecular basis of chlamydial tissue and host tropism using emerging molecular genetic approaches.

The ideal candidate would have extensive experience in chlamydia cultivation and pathogenesis, chlamydial genetics, and in dissecting the transcriptomics of host cell and intracellular pathogens during infections performed in model systems and in vivo using microarrays, RNA-sequencing and or Single-cell sequencing approaches.

The position will be compensated according to NRSA guidelines. Continuation in the position will be contingent upon performance and the availability of funds.

Basic Qualifications

A terminal degree in microbiology, immunology or related field is required.
