Job Description and Duties

Under supervision of a registered physical therapist, to assist in administering physical therapy treatments in a State hospital; and to perform related work.

Carries out client care programs as planned by a supervising therapist
Trains clients in exercises, ambulation, and daily living activities
Applies treatments such as heat, cold, ultrasound, massage, and therapeutic pools
Assists in positioning and exercising clients
Observes and reports client's physical condition and response to treatment
Assists in performing tests and evaluations
Maintains safe environment, treatment areas, and equipment
Attends clinics and may participate in clerical activities

The employee is required to work varied shifts and schedules in different hospital settings, including potential overtime.
