    WORK OBJECTIVE


    Performs a variety of un-skilled or semi-skilled maintenance work and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, sewer, street, and/or storm drainage facilities and systems.

    Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude. Position exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    High school diploma or GED.

    Two (2) or more years' experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

    Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.

    Must have a valid Florida Class B commercial driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment.

    Must have or be able to obtain a Water Distribution License Level Three (3) within two (2) years of employment.

    Bucket truck certification is preferred.


    In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

    Dental Insurance

    The City provides employees with dental insurance through Aetna Dental, of which two options (Dental DMO and Dental PPO) are offered.

    The City pays $5.00 per month towards dental coverage premium.

    Vision Program
    Vision coverage on routine eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses is available through Aetna Health Care. The City pays 100% coverage for employee only. See plan information for details regarding the vision care program.

    Life Insurance / Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
    The City provides all full-time employees with $50,000 in term life insurance. There is no cost to employees for this benefit.

    Supplemental Life Insurance / Supplemental AD&D Insurance
