    Purchasing & Inventory Control Analyst


    About the Role

    This critical role is responsible for end-to-end purchasing and inventory control for assigned suppliers and/or product groups, supporting 11 branch warehouses in VA, NC, and SC.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Purchasing: Create and manage purchase orders, execute purchasing work within budgetary metrics, and ensure timely supplier delivery.
    • Inventory Control: Monitor performance metrics, communicate issues, maintain system settings, and balance location/inventory requirements.
    • Supplier Management: Analyze supplier performance, collaborate with sales and procurement teams to resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
    • Program Ownership: Participate in ERP efficiency reviews, identify opportunities for improvement, create new BI reporting, and share best practices.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
    • 5+ years of experience in purchasing in B2B wholesale distribution or a similar industry.
    • Applied experience with purchasing, inventory control, and supplier management activities.
    • High proficiency in analytics, working with complex spreadsheets and business intelligence reporting tools.
    • Certifications in CPSM, CPSD, CPIM, CSCP are desired.
