Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon to diagnose patients and treat various conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions.Responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident staff. The candidate will be part of a growing OMFS Department that includes a strong infrastructure of support with the present attending staff in OMFS. Position requires fellowship and it requires training in Head and Neck, Microvascular, Craniofacial, and or Cosmetic Surgery.
• Primary responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident team.
• Participation in daily rounds of in-patients
• Scholarly activity with resident education program and mentorship of research initiatives
• Educational conferences and presentations to faculty and residents across all disciplines
• Growth of Fellowship Division
• Reconstructive surgery to treat congenital defects, structural abnormalities, and injuries.
• Collaborating with healthcare specialists to enhance Fellowship Program
• Informing patients of their diagnoses and discussing appropriate treatment options with them.
Qualifications
• Doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or Doctor of medicine in dentistry (DMD). MD degree Preferred
• Certified by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Appropriate New York state licensure
• Fellowship Certificate of training
