- Plan and implement patient care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Document patient care provided and communicate effectively with the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to their age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Minimum Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Required Skills:
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certifications within 6 months of hire.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification within 1 year from hire.
- Licenses:
- Current RN license in New Mexico or compact RN licensure.
