    BLPosition Summary Construct, repair and maintain metal portions of assigned City facilities and equipment using welding methods and techniques; review work orders and assess equipment and materials required for each task; respond to emergencies and perform field repairs and perform other technical maintenance duties relative to assigned area of responsibility.

    High school diploma or GED plus two (2) years technical training in metal technology, welding, or fabrication; andTwo (2) years welding experience.


    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Possession of a valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire. Possession of AWS (American Welding Society) Welder Certification preferred.
