    SUMMARY

    GameStop's Audit Group is an independent global function responsible for providing assurance and advisory services covering all the Company's business and operations. Audit is a critical component of GameStop's control and risk management infrastructure. Successful professionals in this group will demonstrate a strong understanding of our business, build strong working relationships with business partners and deliver value added services which strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of our global processes.

    The Head of Internal Audit will lead all aspects of the Audit group's risk assessment, assurance and advisory activities, including audit planning and execution and contributing to strategic initiatives. The scope of this role includes all business functions in all locations in which the Company operates.

    This role will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Management and leadership of the internal audit team
    • Management and execution over the global end to end SOX process
    • Facilitation of the annual external audit, supporting as needed
    • Facilitate the ongoing identification and maintenance of key SOX controls
    • Execution responsibilities for User Access Reviews and select IT controls
    • Business engagement responsibilities including discussing business performance, strategic priorities, and operational matters
    • Identification and assessment of current and emerging risks, themes, and trends globally
    • Formation of the annual audit plan through direct input, insight and perspective around current business, industry and regulatory risk factors
    • Responsible for the Internal Audit charter approval and monitoring compliance of the Internal Audit function
    • Represent the Internal Audit function globally to company leadership, the Board of Directors and regulatory stakeholders
    • Responsible for the department budget globally and delivers on expectations and goals within budget while finding opportunities for efficiencies
    • Responsible for the timely delivery of audits in accordance with the Internal Audit plan
    • Leads the risk assessment efforts and continuous risk monitoring efforts
    • Participation in global initiatives
    • Leverage industry experience to provide advisory services during the development of new businesses and systems
    • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with all risk and control functions
    • Prepare and present board-level and C-level presentations as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business management is preferred. BA/BS is required.
    • Minimum 10 years in internal audit or related functions within a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a corporate environment, with a minimum of 8 years leading a global internal audit function
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CPA required

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

    • Expert quantitative analysis skills, including the ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and report financial and operational data.
    • Ability to meet multiple, potentially overlapping, deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization, including management, peers and business partners.
    • Proficient ability to work collaboratively with others; conduct working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
    • Proficient ability to remain effective under stress, and respond to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
    • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
    • Expert project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
    • Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
