    Join our team as a Dedicated Local Flatbed Truck Driver

    As a dedicated driver, you will enjoy consistent customers and predictable routes. Knowing your weekly miles allows for clear expectations regarding your paycheck. Familiarity with your customers and typical freight loads ensures that there will be no unexpected delays.

    Competitive Pay

    • Average weekly earnings: $1,250 / $65,000 annually
    • Starting pay: $0.50 per mile
    • Annual pay increases on contract anniversary
    • Average miles traveled per week: 1,500
    • Stop pay: $15 per stop (average of 30 stops weekly, each around 30 minutes)
    • Detention and breakdown pay available as needed

    Great Schedule - No Weekends

    • Home daily
    • Monday to Friday workweek, with no weekend commitments
    • Average workday lasts 10-12 hours
    • Start time between 2:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. based on dispatch
    • Finish time between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
    • Daily dispatch at 5:00 p.m. for the following day's load
    • Loads ready by 2:00 a.m. each day
    • Must arrive at first stop by 7:30-8:00 a.m.

    Frequent and Predictable Routes

    • Deliver within a 300-mile radius from Greensboro, NC
    • Transport building materials such as drywall and lumber to various locations
    • Routes may include 1-12 stops daily, based on distance
    • Occasionally pick up inbound products

    Equipment and Load Types

    • Utilizing 53' trailers: Flatbed, Curtain side, or Conestoga
    • Pre-loaded trailers to ensure efficiency
    • No touch freight: requires only live unloads
    • Secure loads with provided straps; tarp only in inclement weather (additional $10 per stop if needed)

    Safety First

    • Hard hats and vests provided, must be worn on property
    • Steel-toe shoes required (drivers must provide)

    Requirements:

    • Must live within a 75-mile radius
    • Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years
    • Must hold a Class A CDL
    • Age: 21 years or older
    • No reckless driving convictions within the last 5 years
    • No DUI or DWI convictions within the last 5 years
    • No suspensions or revocations for moving violations in the last 5 years
    • No serious violations in the past 12 months
    • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
    • No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years

    Essential Functions:

    • Load and unload freight (up to 80 lbs)
    • Move freight (force requirement: 54 lbs)
    • Lift and move side kits (46 lbs)
    • Lift tarp (110 lbs)
    • Apply and remove tarps as needed
    • Secure loads with chains (up to 80 lbs)
    • Climb onto and off of the flatbed trailer
    • Count freight accurately
    • Complete fuel tickets and delivery receipts
    • Hook/unhook trailer (force requirement: 90 lbs)
    • Perform pre-trip inspections
    • Ability to drive and sit upright for extended periods
    • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance
