GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT
Description:
Position Summary
Lead, direct, and supervise financial statement preparation. Maintain general ledger, budgets, and taxes
Supervision Exercised
Supervised by the Controller.
Supervises Staff Accountant and Accounting Clerk as assigned.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in establishing Accounting processes and procedures.
Directs general ledger entries and general ledger reconciliation.
General Ledger analysis and maintenance.
Analysis of revenue and expense processes in order to provide input on efficiency and accuracy.
Prepares monthly financial statements and reports for review and analysis.
Tax reconciliation and reporting.
Financial Statement budget maintenance and analysis.
Ensures compliance with GAAP and systems of internal controls.
Performs additional duties as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be detail-oriented, and be well organized.
Must have previous accounting experience.
Must have effective written and oral communications skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Knowledge of purchasing and inventory systems.
Ability to analyze and develop logical decisions.
Knowledge of business administration of a food and beverage operation.
Ability to create and maintain relationships with members of management, subordinates, associates, and professionals within the organization.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and four (4) years of accounting experience including two (2) in a supervisory capacity.
Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years, two (2) years of which must be in a supervisory capacity, may substitute for the required education and experience.
Licensing StatusMust be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
No or very limited physical effort required.
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
