    UCT is looking for a talented Senior Engineering Project Manager to join us in Phoenix, AZ The individual selected for this role may work in small, medium, and large businesses. The work is concerned with chemical and mechanical processes in which customer materials undergo change and involves scaling up processes from the laboratory into high volume manufacturing (HVM). Responsibilities may include design, build, and installation of new process equipment/manufacturing plants, leading capital projects, owning and driving customer product site transitions, process equipment modifications, and/or engineering/operations software support. Success in this position will be based on the ability to complete all projects within scope, on time, and on budget.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Provides Project Engineering support/leadership for new facility build-outs, capital projects, NPI transition from R&D to HVM, Data analytics/SPC/ Business software, and/or large facility transitions/transfers.
    • Develops Capital Equipment Proposals (CEP's) depicting project costs and justification as required. Provides initial cost estimates and timelines for equipment procurement and installation.
    • Works with architects and process/facility engineers to ensure that facility tool install drawings are complete, accurate and contain appropriate level of detail.
    • Develops and maintains equipment specifications and performance standards necessary for standardized equipment selection and purchase.
    • Develops complete install packages, documentation and specifications as required to support new process introductions.
    • Prepares specifications, performance standards, and P&IDs for equipment as required.
    • Develops, leads, and/or participates in site or multi-site continuous improvement activities.
    • Leads site to site transfers of customer products and or UCT process equipment.
    • Creates new or revises existing SOPs and/or work instructions for projects as required.

    • AutoCAD or equivalent proficiency.
    • MS Office.
    • Lean Expert/Black Belt.

    • Effective communicator, both written and oral.
    Educational/Certification Requirement:
    • Bachelor's degree in chemical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or similar engineering degree with combination of equivalent experience.
    • Master's degree in engineering preferred.
    • PMP Certificate.
    Travel Requirement:
    • 0-40%.
