Blazerjobs is thrilled to partner with the local school district in Dearborn Heights, MI to fill a full-time Special Education (SPED) position. We are committed to providing exceptional education professionals to support the growth and development of students in the community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress.
• Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions.

Requirements:

• State SPED teaching license required
• Proven experience working with students with special needs.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with diverse learners.
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
