The Elementary Teacher Pool ( Multiple Subject) is for assignments for the school year. If you are currently in the Elementary Teacher ( Multiple Subject) eligibility pool, you must submit a completed application to be considered for a position in the school year.

OVERVIEW:

POSITION SPECIFICS:

The Elementary Teacher Pool (Multiple Subject) is for assignments for the school year.

This is a continuous recruitment which will be used to establish an ongoing eligibility list for elementary and K-8 schools. Candidates that do not wish to be considered for regular full-time/part-time positions should apply to the substitute teacher pool to be considered for temporary assignments.

Examples of Duties:

  • Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Board of Education and administrative regulations.

  • Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.

  • Encourage pupils to think independently and to express original ideas.

  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.

  • Assess student progress on objectives, expectations, and/or goals and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration.

  • Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment, including instructional media.
