The Senior Technology Support Specialist is a key part of the success of our clients' IT infrastructure.Duties:
Maintain and improve client service, perception, and satisfaction.
Responsible for logging all work and time on service tickets as it occurs.
IT support involving core business application and operating systems, as well as virtual environments on VMware.
Implementation and support for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server & Desktop, Exchange, SQL, Office 365, etc.
Implementation and support of hardware:
servers, workstations, printers, scanners, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, UPS batteries and other equipment.
Implementation and support of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Interact with vendors to support customer's specific line of practice management applications, copiers/printers, internet service providers, etc.
Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Remote Desktop, and other remote access packages
Review remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets.
IT environment documentation to include system reviews and recommendations.
Communication w/ customers:
keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft workstation operating systems and applications.
Proficiency in managing Microsoft server operating systems and networks.
Intermediate knowledge in managing network devices including switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with a Managed Service Provider business model.
Problem-solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlines.
Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written

Education:
College Degree or equivalent
2 years (minimum) managed service experience
Job Type:
Full-time. Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm. Occasionally, special circumstances may require after-hours or weekend/holiday work.
Salary:
$60,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year dependent upon education and experience
