- Consults with supervisors and possibly psychiatrists on members' progress and treatment.
- Provides support to members' families, explaining treatments and offering interventions to enhance treatment acceptance.
- Utilizes resources from various agencies to fulfill members' treatment needs, including facilitating referrals to external support services when necessary.
- Reports safety concerns to mandated agencies.
- Develops, implements, coordinates, and assesses tailored treatment programs for Health Plan members with mental health challenges.
- Engages in staff meetings to design and evaluate treatment strategies and provides psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups.
- Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, and maintains confidential records.
- Collaborates with physicians in evaluating patients for mental health medications.
- Offers behavioral medicine and health psychology programs in various settings, including primary care, and provides consultation to healthcare providers on mental health matters.

- Must hold a Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Required to obtain relevant licensure within a specified timeframe of employment.
- Employee must accrue a set number of supervisory hours annually.
- Must demonstrate familiarity with DSM-V for diagnostic purposes.
- Experience in assessing and treating various psychiatric conditions is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
- Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional standards is crucial.
- Proficiency in Evidence-Based Practice, psychotherapy research methods, and understanding of bio-psycho-social factors in mental health.
