    CNC Machinist / Set Up Operator first shift

    Milwaukee company that manufactures braking systems for the United States railroad industry is looking for a CNC Machine Set Up/Operator.     JOB DESCRIPTION: 1st shift: Monday through Thursday 7am-3:30pm; Friday 6am-2:30pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on CNC machining equipment.
    • Setup and operate CNC machining equipment; vertical and horizontal.
    • Perform some machine alignment procedures and machine zero home procedures to keep equipment at peak operating performance. · Able to troubleshoot machine problems. · Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
    • 3 or more years of CNC machine operating experience.
    • Able to work independently with dedication to quality.
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Basic ability to read and understand blueprints, measuring devices and other shop drawing aids.
    • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts, fittings and assemblies.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
    • Excellent attendance and a positive, "can do" attitude. THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:
    • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    • CNC programming experience. Gibbs cam a plus.
