    SUMMARY We are looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our growing team The Corporate Accounting Manager reports to the Controller and is responsible for assisting in the monthly general ledger close, balance sheet and income statement variance analysis, ad hoc accounting analysis and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES


    • Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
    • Assists in preparing supporting schedules for external auditors and responding to audit inquiries.
    • Occasional assistance with preparation of daily bank deposits.
    • Assistance with the Accounts Payable (A/P) function, including review of A/P batches for approval, coding, and payment.
    • Ability to supervise 1-2 employees, as the role evolves and grows.
    • Assists with processing expense reports as needed.
    • Prepares monthly journal entries as assigned, including allocation of costs to departments or properties, accruals, and other miscellaneous entries.
    • Completes variance analysis to estimates and budget.
    • Reviews accounting documents and researches and resolves discrepancies as necessary.
    • Prepares monthly financial reports for management as requested.
    • Assists with distribution of periodic financial statements to key users, including the company's banking partner and/or lender.
    • Assists in preparation of budget workpapers.
    • Ensures compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements
    • Completes other duties and projects as assigned.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related business discipline.
    • Two or more years' public accounting experience preferred.
    • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
    • Experience managing/supervising various accounting functions, including accounts payable.
    • Knowledge of IRS reporting requirements.
    • Experience with accounting/finance software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and individuals.
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
    • Must be self-directed, have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as a responsibility to ethical practice & confidentiality.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
