    Description

    Direct the overall marketing efforts for the Credit Union. Strategize, develop, implement and communicate strategic marketing and public relations campaigns. Ensure marketing goals, campaigns and offerings are consistent with Credit Union goals, policies and procedures. Manage department staff and vendors to meet department and Credit Union objectives. Develop and monitor marketing budget.

    Position Responsibilities

    Market research and analysis

    • Perform regular analysis of a variety of marketing factors to determine overall product profitability, member usage, and member relationships. Identify areas of opportunity, create targeted marketing lists, and track response to campaigns
    • Develop targeted marketing campaigns through a variety of media including but not limited to direct mail, email, branch merchandising and track member responses to determine campaign effectiveness
    • Compile regular competitive rate analysis data
    • Gather comprehensive data to produce regular reports for vendors, CU departments and the Board of Directors
    • Prepare and execute membership surveys
    Department Administration
    • Manage daily activities of the marketing department staff to include coaching, performance management, payroll and training
    • Manage various budget activities including expense review and planning
    • Coordinate member services supervisory committee meetings
    • Assist in the marketing strategy and implement website updates for the Youth Accounts
    Planning
    • Plan, develop, implement and assess short and long-range marketing plans for the Credit Union consistent with our goals, policies and procedures
    • Lead department projects to design and implement new products, services and promotions
    • Make periodic branch visits in person and via Microsoft Office Teams to gather feedback, discuss branch marketing opportunities and perform branch branding audit
    Communication
    • Manage website content to include web banners, content revisions, update rates, and manage member complaint/grievance activity
    • Supervise and as needed, participate in the creation of written publications, including but not limited to monthly product brochures, branch flats/signs/posters, corporate forms, manuals, and member correspondence
    • Have marketing pieces and disclosures reviewed by CUNA to ensure accuracy and compliance standards.
    • Coordinate member communications due to emergencies such as pandemic, inclement weather closings/delays, card breaches, etc.
    Vendor management
    • Coordinate and manage a variety of vendors providing content, analysis and member data to assist CU in meeting marketing goals
    Position Requirements
    • College degree in marketing, journalism, communications, English, public relations or related field required
    • One to three years of experience in marketing. Financial services marketing preferred
    • Demonstrated understanding and experience with marketing communications
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and completely
    • Ability to maintain websites. HTML preferred
    • Analytical skills, attention to detail, good organizational skills and planning skills
    • Ability to strategize and implement marketing campaigns
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong project management skills
    • Working knowledge of financial MCIF system(s)
    • Other duties as assigned
