    Job Summary:


    This position reports to the Director, HR Consulting Services and provides consultative services in the areas of talent/performance management, employee relations, compensation/classification, and policy interpretation.

    This position is an integral contributor of the Human Resources team using the most modern techniques available to Human Resources professionals and utilizing creative, proactive and solution-oriented approaches in problem solving.

    As a strategic partner and primary contact for assigned divisions, this position will collaborate with units to learn and understand the needs/issues of the division and assist in developing solutions, plans, and strategies to solve them.

    Areas of responsibility include talent/performance management, employee relations, compensation, classification, and policy interpretation.

    Position Qualifications:
    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience.

    Position requires working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including employee relations, performance management, compensation/classification, diversity, and federal and state respective employment laws.

    Excellent consulting and client management skills. Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop strong relationships in order to gain support and achieve results. Ability to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations accordingly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

    Experience in an HR setting within an institution of higher education.

    PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification.
