    Description:+ Engineering and manufacturing of steam generation and gas turbine Co-generation equipment


    • Job Duties:
    Layout, fit, and weld from blueprints a variety of weldments, pressure vessels and piping built to A.S.M.E.

    boiler codes and weld procedures, as well as customer requirements.+ Typically if someone is hired as a level one Code Welder they do primarily TIG welding.+ If someone also has strong TIG skills they might be hired as a level two Code Welder which would be a good percentage of TIG along with the MIG welding work.


    • Example of a project:

    A variety of structural steel casing fabrication customized to surround a pressure vessel erected in a power plant environment.

    The main duties involved code piping, fit, and weld interconnecting runs that are later fit at assembly in the field.

    Also code welding of boiler tubes to pressure parts.

    flux core, Tig, Fcaw, Tig welding, Pipe weld, Blueprint reading, asme, welder, stick, welding, blueprint, Mig, Weld, Fabrication, Mig welding, Stainless steel, Fitting, Mig welder, Mild steel, Stick welding
    Additional Skills & Qualifications:*Must have:

    • At least 1 year in TIG welding experience
    • Must be able to pass a 6G weld test
    • At least 6 months of experience performing Stick and Flux Core welding (Education is considered)Nice to have:
    • Experience working in an ASME environment (example: Arrow Tank)
    • Strongly prefer Tech School Degree in Welding but not required.
    - Ideally someone who has TIG welded on Pipe

    Code Weld Qualifications:

    TIG, MIG, as well as Stick in the 6G (all positions). Submerged Arc welding in the flat position usually rolling pipe or vessels to weld. This also involves a variety of carbon steels, alloys, as well as stainless steel.

    Shift: 4:30am - 3:00pm Monday - ThursdayBreak: 8:30am - 8:45am & 1:30pm - 1:45pmLunch: 11:30am - 12:00pmOvertime: When needed
