IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting an Accounting Analyst responsible for accounts payable and receivable, general accounting, assisting with the closing process and general administrative tasks.
Responsibilities of the
Accounting Analyst
Manage invoicing and ensure vendors are paid on time.
Assist in discovery over discrepancies, ensure monthly recurring payments are accurate and timely.
Review billings and monthly aged account receivable report.
Perform collection of bad debt, including demand letters and other eventual legal follow-up. .
Create and maintain various reports to aid senior management in analyzing the business.
Help maintain wage reports to facilitate data entry and validate appropriate costs.
Record various monthly journal entries, including depreciation and amortization, payroll accruals, month end journal entries, interest and fees.
Responsible for assisting with bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
Perform financial analysis to include monthly spending, wage analysis, and variance to budget analysis.
Help maintain excel spreadsheet recapping all annual purchases and assist with review of invoicing for new receipts.
Assist the company on various other accounting/administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements of the
Accounting Analyst
B.S. in Finance or Accounting preferred but not required
1+ years of accounting experience
Experience handling general accounting responsibilities
Exposure and working experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
ERP experience preferred
Good communication skills with attention to detail
