    Description

    Responsibilities:

    Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse

    Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding

    Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse

    Assist with patient mobility and transfers

    Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff

    Assist with medical procedures, such as phlebotomy and specimen collection

    Maintain a clean and safe patient environment

    Document patient care activities accurately and timely using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Cerner

    Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience

    Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of employment

    Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures

    Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members

    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

    Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred

    Familiarity with home care or senior care is a plus

    Skills:

    Spinal tap: Knowledge and experience in assisting with spinal tap procedures.

    Home care: Familiarity with providing care in a home setting.

    Cerner: Proficiency in using Cerner or similar electronic medical records systems.

    Medical documentation: Ability to accurately document patient care activities.

    Hospital: Experience working in a hospital setting.

    Patient service: Commitment to providing excellent service to patients.

    Patient assessment: Ability to assess patients' physical and emotional well-being.

    Senior care: Understanding of the unique needs of elderly patients.

    Primary care: Knowledge of primary care practices and procedures.

    Phlebotomize: Skill in drawing blood samples for diagnostic testing.
