Description
What you'll do:
Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
Protects Company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
Monitors and confirms the Company's financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
Maximizes returns and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments
Performs financial modeling to support business decisions and acts as an advisor to senior management
Prepares budgets and achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variance and initiating corrective actions
Provides status of the Company's financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data
Prepares or coordinates the preparation of tax documents
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions
Manages insurance, permitting, and licensing requirements including record retention and compliance
Oversees the Payroll, Cost Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions either personally or by managing staff performing these functions.
Oversees vehicle title and registration process and manages staff performing these functionsProtects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential, adheres to the highest ethical standards
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant license Preferred
Minimum 5-10 years of successful experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and priority scheduling skills
Ability to motivate team members to produce quality work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
