Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of specialty experience, BLS, ACLS, and ARRT RT(R) required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab
• Day shifts with four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirements include one late call and one overnight call per week, plus 1-2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Level 1 trauma environment preferred
• Uses Philips Single and Bi Plane Angiography equipment (preferred)
• EPIC EHR and McKesson system experience required
• May float to other hospital departments or affiliated hospitals as needed
• Call shifts involve varied weekday and weekend hours with a 1-hour response time
• All IR PACU recovery patients must be transferred and recovered per established protocols
• Return staff must have a 90-day separation to be eligible for travel assignments
• Modules are completed during orientation and annually, specific to specialty
• Rehire eligibility will be checked for candidates with previous employment at the facility

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Technologist experience required
• Active KY Radiologic Technologist license through ARRT RT(R) required before start; pending license at submission allowed (license required if applicable)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required prior to start
• PALS certification required prior to start but not at time of submission
• Successful completion of EKG onboarding exam required
• Must be able to provide at least one reference from a charge nurse or supervisor
• No licensure hits accepted
• Epic EHR and McKesson experience required
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
