- Construct/dismantle scaffolding in accordance with OSHA policies/procedures to provide safe trade access during various phases of construction.
- Unloading scaffolding equipment on-site.
- Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding.
- Erecting scaffolding poles.
- Fixing scaffolding to buildings or structures.
- Laying planks for workers to walk on.
- Fixing guard rails and safety netting.
- Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete.
- Creating different kinds of platforms, from simple scaffolding through to complex structures such as suspended scaffolding, cantilever drops, and temporary roofs.
- Working on-site in all weather.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in carpentry and/or scaffold building.
- Experience operating various pneumatic and electrical tools.
- Ability to work in restricted/confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and high elevations.
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Ability to complete safety harness training and wear a safety harness.
- Ability to lift and handle steel scaffolding, various types of lumber, including planks and plywood.
- Ability to push and pull as part of the daily routine.
- Ability to read/follow scaffolding drawings and company policies/procedures.
- Basic math skills and perform layouts with measuring tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense.
- A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
- Ability to qualify to wear fall protection while working at heights greater than five feet.
- Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts.
- Highly motivated, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment or independently.
- Ability to follow directions from supervision and meet daily goals.
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts.
- Experience with fall protection.
- Previous scaffolding experience and familiarity with Universal Scaffolding.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry, manufacturing environment, or related trade training.
- A high school diploma/GED.
- Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements.
