    MPM Advisors is looking to bring on a detail-oriented Bookkeeper and AR/AP Clerk. This role will be full-time and will require flexibility for onsite meetings with clients in Orange County as needed.

    JOB OVERVIEW:
    The Bookkeeper and AR/AP Clerk will be responsible for managing the full general ledger for multiple client entities. Along with delivering full-cycle bookkeeping for existing clients, this position will be responsible for transaction clean-up and generating creative solutions necessary to transition clients onto MPM Advisors' outsourced accounting program. This role will benefit from facing a variety of challenges across a wide breadth of clients. The position offers incentives for business development and will provide an opportunity to learn and grow along the way. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
    • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records.
    • Assist with accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and vendor and customer management.
    • Maintaining an accurate general ledger, making journal entries where necessary
    • Collaborate with our team to provide them with the necessary documentation and information for tax preparation and financial reporting.
    • Record payroll journal entries

    EDUCATION:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:
    • Proven experience in bookkeeping and AR/AP functions.
    • Payroll experience a plus
    • Proficient in using accounting software (Quickbooks).
    • Proficient using Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Proficient in Google Gsuite, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Sheets

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to represent the Company professionally, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive matters with discretion and diplomacy
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, including staff, board members, and partners
    • Self-starter; highly motivated and resourceful team player able to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong judgment: able to think and work independently, multi-task, prioritize, and follow through to manage workflow effectively
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, protocol, and a commitment to high-quality work
    • High fluency with Microsoft Office (specifically with Excel)
