    Summary



    This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO) with one vacancy in Boulder, CO.

    Duties


    As a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

    • Exercise decision-making authority, within the parameters of David Skaggs Research Center (DSRC), Boulder Colorado and facility program objectives. Participate with and collaborate in the planning and coordination of long and short-range program planning. Develop information and approaches related to strategic planning for facility operation. Collaborate with leadership in all aspects of relevant organizational needs and DSRC objectives, operations and activities.
    • Develop programs, policies and operating instructions. Guide and direct matters involving facility operations policies and administrative program determinations in order to effect a coordinated management effort that maximizes DSRC effectiveness. Coordinate with other National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) tenants on the planning, implementing and monitoring of maintenance programs, environmental safety, building systems, service, equipment, and energy management execution. The DSRC is located on a Department of Commerce campus that is shared with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and coordination with those agencies are also necessary.
    • Perform full range of supervisory duties. This includes evaluating work performance of subordinate supervisors, developing performance standards, giving advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matter, and making or approving selections for subordinate nonsupervisory positions.
    • Exercise delegated authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the program. Approve multiyear and longer-range work plans developed by the supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives.
