    Job Description

    The Loan Collateral Analyst will support the Structured Lending team at Churchill Real Estate. The role will work collaboratively with the lending desk, operations, legal, and senior management to complete tasks and achieve scheduled goals. As part of the Structured Lending team, the Loan Collateral Analyst will be responsible for reviewing real estate loan documents for compliance, completeness and accuracy, and shipping loan packages to the appropriate party within the service-level agreement times. The Loan Collateral Analyst will have daily interaction with clients, custodial banks, and internal and external legal counsel.

    Responsibilities:

    • Closely monitor the receipt and tracking of loan documentation along with the trailing collateral documents.
    • Review original loan documents to verify that they are executed correctly and contain appropriate loan terms.
    • Communicate any discrepancies found in the loan file review with the appropriate parties and request corrections and missing documents.
    • Ship loan collateral packages and trailing documents within given service-level agreements (SLAs).
    • Correspond with custodian banks to update reporting and facilitate exception clearance.
    • Work with both internal team members and external counterparties to resolve collateral reporting inadequacies and problems.
    • Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual reports based on loan collateral received and tracked.
    • Review and prepare Bailment and Escrow Letters to facilitate collateral movement in preparation for fundings, refinancings, trades, etc.
    • Submit and track recordable documents to ensure accurate chain of ownership.
    • Participate in and drive collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working to better serve an evolving client base.

    Qualifications:

    • Four-year degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or Risk Management.
    • Prior Real Estate legal/paralegal experience a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment in which performance is based on speed and accuracy.
    • Experience with SQL a plus.
