- Leads and motivates the Outbound team in order preparation, picking and packing, and ensuring cut-off is achieved to meet customer and company requirements.
- Perform all shipping tasks required to create satisfied customers, internal and external.
- Perform all tasks in a timely and economical manner.
- Communicate with and support the Warehouse/ Shipping and Customer Service Teams
- Follow policies and procedures: Quality Assurance SOP and shipping procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Ensures the team uses proper packing procedures and that adequate packing supplies and equipment are available.
- Ensures end-of-day system verification tasks are completed and open orders have been invoiced.
- Monitors performance of team members and provides feedback to management.
- Recognizes training needs and implements training to ensure the team is prepared.
- Ensures management is aware, on a regular basis, of all aspects of employee performance.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
- Reports directly to Warehouse Manager
- Hours will vary and rotate from a range of 7:30am to 6pm Monday thru Friday, with occasional Saturdays
- High school diploma or GED plus 5 years of demonstrated leadership, project management, and supervisory experience in distribution
- Minimum of one year of experience in warehouse or production environment; prior experience directing work flow preferred
- Experience in leading and coaching small teams
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and assign responsibilities accordingly
