    Special Education Teacher

    Location: Dover, New Hampshire

    Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Dover, New Hampshire. The Special Education Teacher will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have access to a quality education and opportunities for academic and social-emotional growth. As a member of our collaborative educational munity, the Special Education Teacher will work closely with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with other members of the educational team.
    • Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, adapting curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet students' individual needs and learning styles.
    • Utilize evidence-based practices and specialized instructional methods to support students in achieving their academic and developmental goals.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers to ensure the inclusion and success of students with disabilities in the general education setting.
    • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies and interventions as needed to support student learning and growth.
    • municate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies for supporting learning at home.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, including IEP goals, progress reports, and behavior plans.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required.
    • Master's degree in Special Education or related field preferred.

    Certifications:

    • Valid New Hampshire teaching license with certification in Special Education (K-12) or eligibility for certification through the New Hampshire Department of Education.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Ability to differentiate instruction and provide acmodations and modifications to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
    • Excellent munication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
