    Jurni Design Group is looking to expand its staff with the addition of an experienced Structural engineer. Individuals will possess a P.E.

    license and preferably have 5 years minimum experience in the field of industrial or commercial projects working as a structural engineer.

    Projects focus on the use of both Revit and Auto CAD for drawing creation, therefore the ideal candidate will have in-depth professional experience in both platforms.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside other project team members to oversee the development construction documents for industrial projects focused in the food and beverage industry and commercial projects focused in the warehousing and storage industry.

    The Structural Engineer, P.E. role requires individuals to support and oversee

    drafting/design/engineering

    staff to ensure accurate and complete development of documents through all phases (SD, DD, CD, and CA). Communication with team members internally as well as clients externally will be equally important.

    The individual serve the team as Engineer of Record (EOR) on projects and will be required to perform calculations, build structural models, develop specifications, and oversee and assist in drawing production such that he/she maintains direct responsible charge for projects being performed under their license.

    Job Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
    Modeling and calculations for structural design and analysis
    Specification development
    Use experience to independently identify and resolve challenges
    Execute site visits independently or with other team members to meet with customers and collect information related to new or ongoing projects – occasional travel required
    Provide oversight and direction to staff engineers, drafters and designers
    Provide

    training/mentorship

    of staff engineers
    Provide incidental architectural design as permitted by applicable boards and codes.
    Coordinate projects through permitting process with local authorities
    Work with multi-discipline team to provide overall coordination of all disciplines on projects utilizing both in-house and subconsultant resources.

    Jurni is a part of the C.R. Crawford family of companies which also includes C.R. Crawford Construction (CRCC) and Triton Design Builders (Triton) among others.

    In additional to work delivered directly to our clients, Jurni serves as a critical engineering resource to the CRCC and Triton teams providing design services on large design build projects working directly for these two general contractors.

    Jurni also assists with pre-construction and estimating efforts alongside CRCC and Triton teams to help convert competitive opportunities in to awarded contracts.

    Jurni shares an office with CRCC which creates a tight-knit team fostering collaboration throughout the design and construction process.

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
    P.E. or S.E. license
    Master's degree in structural engineering will be given consideration where minimum experience is not met
    Minimum 5 years professional experience as structural engineer in related field
    Experience with traditional types of building systems used in industrial projects along with associated industry standard details and specifications.

    Design experience with – reinforced concrete, structural steel, pre-engineered buildings, pre-cast/tilt-up concrete, light gauge steel, steel joists, wood framing, masonry, insulated metal panel, all conventional foundation types.

    Experience as Engineer of Record on projects
    Familiarity with all applicable structural design codes
    Working knowledge of architectural and fire prevention codes related to life safety planning
    Skilled in RISA software platforms
    Proficient in Revit and Auto CAD
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Design experience in food and beverage, cold storage, or warehousing industry preferred
