    Candidate will serve as one of the systems Architects on the Command and Control Battle Management Communications (C2BMC) program, to include conducting analysis, making architectural decisions and updating the C2BMC system architecture in compliance with requirements.


    The candidate will also perform the following tasks:

    • Review cyber, software, and network designs for compliance and alignment with architecture.
    • Generate engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.
    • Develop program system architecture capability and capacity through mentorship of more junior staff.
    Candidate needs to have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice.

    Work will be performed under the direction of various technical leads and product owners and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.

    Responsibilities include adhering to program review processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis.

    Candidate will serve as the Product Team Product Owner (similar to SAFe Product Manager) for the C2BMC Dev Sec Ops Product Team.

    Candidate will be responsible for driving value delivery for the infrastructure of a complex missile defense command and control system.


    Basic Qualifications


    Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of increasingly responsible Systems Engineering roles in the development, integration and support of large scale software intensive systems.

    A Master's degree and 7 years of experience may be substituted.

    In addition, Candidate should have demonstrated experience in:

    • Mission analysis with skill in architecture development and SysML modeling in support of MBSE.
    • Understanding of Earned Value Management in a software development environment
    • Architecture development and coordination
    • Defining the relationships between internal and external components
    • Communicating architectural intent and constraints to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users.
    • Skills generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities.

    Desired skills

    • Preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience as either a Product Manager or a Product Owner.
    • Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling, and knowledge of CI/CD pipeline architecture, RAM, Mission Assurance, Safety, and cyber security concepts are highly desirable.

    Work Schedule Information

    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


    Colorado Pay Statement

    Pay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $109,500 - $209,900 .

    Non-represented full-time employees:

    accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

    Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

    PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

    This position is incentive plan eligible.


    Premium Pay Statement

    The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $125,900 - $237,400.
