    Job Description Job Description Were looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the accounts of various construction projects construction costs, and by organizing and processing all on-going daily accounting activities associated with a construction project from start to finish

    Accounting Manager Responsibilities:


    Maintain and track all costs related to construction projectsCollaborate with the project managers to develop a detailed, cost-effective budget for the project.

    Review and process any change order preparationProcess work orders, and customer invoicesProcess purchase orders, vendor invoices and subcontractor billsReview, approve, and process payroll, expense reports, and time cardsGenerate and accurately process monthly General Construction G702/703 requisition billings in a timely mannerReview contractors bills for accuracy and completeness, and approve payment requestsResearch and resolve invoice and billing disputes with contractorsAudit all accounts against contractual terms, budgets, and any unbilled project costs.

    Analyze all transactions and working unforeseen costs into the budgetKeeping a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.

    Maintain files on contracts, warranties, insurance policies, waivers and city licenses.

    Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers and customersMaintain financial and billing files per projectsPrepare reports as necessaryAdditional assignments upon request of accounting supervisors.


    Requirements And Skills:


    Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field.3+ years accounting experience in construction accountingStrong knowledge of construction accounting, including cost controls, job costing, and profit and loss accountingAbility to understand complex billing and job costing conceptsExcellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial proceduresExcellent knowledge of ExcelSolid analytical and mathematical skillsMeticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracyGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, high sense of urgency and ownership of work, with a demonstrated ability to manage deadlinesStrong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and attention to details.

    Knowledge of CUF software is a plusKnowledge of prevailing wage construction contracts is a plus
