    Default job background
    Description
    About us

    Pearl Street's mission is to accelerate the transition to a reliable, decarbonized grid. We deliver software solutions to electric grid operators, utilities, and renewable energy project developers to tackle the "interconnection bottleneck," the process by which large-scale solar, wind, and battery projects connect to the power grid. To date, over 180 GW of renewable energy projects have been modeled in our software to expedite their interconnection to the grid. If you are interested in solving the most pressing challenges of the world's most critical infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you

    What you'll do

    We are looking for an experienced interconnection/transmission planning engineer who is well versed in ISO (Independent System Operator)/RTO (Regional Transmission Organization)/utility interconnection processes. We're building powerful cloud software that automates interconnection studies end-to-end, to help renewable energy developers better manage risk and uncertainty in the queue through rigorous scenario analysis. We're also working directly with ISOs/RTOs/utilities to accelerate their study processes with innovative software solutions. You will play a key role in bridging client success, business development, and engineering to support these efforts, including:
    • Informing software developers of regional interconnection study processes and helping with result benchmarking/validation efforts;
    • Working closely with customers and prospective customers to demonstrate our software solutions, explain results, communicate value, troubleshoot issues, and build relationships; and
    • Working with other members of the team to define product requirements and shape the company roadmap.
    Your work will help grid operators and project developers tackle the interconnection bottleneck
