    The City of Pflugerville is seeking an Adult Programming Intern in Library for the summer session The dates for this internship are May 13, August 12, 2024. The person we seek will believe in and exhibit the City's P.F.I.R.S.T. core values: Positive, Forward-thinking, Integrity, Resilience, Service, and Teamwork.

    As an Adult Programming Intern for the City, you will be working with the head of adult services to assist library guests during programs and managing the adult non-fiction library collection.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include:

    • Assist adult services librarians and library guests during adult programs, including crafting events, book clubs, and guest presentations.
    • Assist with setup and cleanup for adult evening events.
    • Assist library guests of all ages during special events, including the library's Summer Reading Program kickoff and closing events.
    • Package program kits for library guests.
    • Locate books to be removed from library and process withdrawals.
    • Refill book displays as needed.

    Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program.
