    Chemist

    Must have:

    • Seeking a Chemist with 0-2 years of experience with polymer materials/organic chemistry
    • Need to have a BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a similar area of science

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the evaluation and specification of new or alternate raw materials for new and existing products.
    • Manage internal non-conformances; such as finished goods or raw material deficiencies.
    • Author and maintain bills of material and manufacturing instructions as required.
    • Author and maintain QC testing procedures and equipment calibration methods.
    • Provide technical support to company personnel and customers.
    • Help resolve customer complaints involving product quality. .
    • Assist with the management of the ERP system (formula entry, etc.).
    • Help insure product and facility compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Manage raw material & finished goods SDSs and PPE requirements for the facility.
    • Evaluate competitive products as a means of assessing comparative advantages and disadvantages of the current product line.
    • Provide assistance with various chemical production activities not otherwise specified.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with any of the following materials: plastic, resin, adhesive, paint, surfactin, soaps, pigment, iron oxide, iron particle, iron
    • Ideally someone who works cross functionally with other departments such as: operations, manufacturing, the plant, sales and quality
    • Any experience with ISO 9001 is a plus
