    Job Title:
    Director of Information Technology


    Position Summary:
    The Director of Information Technology (IT) will oversee all aspects of technology infrastructure, systems, and operations at Showboat Resort.

    This role is responsible for leading the IT team, ensuring the smooth functioning of all technology-related processes, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Planning:
    Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with the overall business objectives of the hotel, arcade and waterpark resort.


    Infrastructure Management:


    Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems, to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.


    Systems Administration:


    Manage and support all IT systems, including property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, guest Wi-Fi, telephony, and security systems.


    Cybersecurity:


    Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data, guest privacy, and the integrity of IT systems and networks.


    Vendor Management:


    Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure technology solutions, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.


    Budgeting and Cost Control:
    Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective procurement of hardware, software, and services.


    Compliance and Regulation:


    Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to IT security, data privacy, and PCI compliance, and ensure the organization remains compliant.


    Training and Development:
    Identify training needs and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for IT staff to enhance their skills and knowledge


    Guest Experience Enhancement:


    Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities to leverage technology to enhance guest experiences, streamline operations, and drive revenue growth.


    Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:


    Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations in the event of a system failure or natural disaster.


    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, ITIL) preferred.

    Proven experience 5 years in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry.

    Strong technical expertise in networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.

    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.

    Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to align IT initiatives with business goals and drive innovation.

    In-depth knowledge of IT best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

    Experience managing IT projects from inception to completion, on time and within budget.

    Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and other hospitality-specific software applications is a plus.


    Working Conditions:


    This position typically operates in an office environment, with occasional travel required to attend meetings, conferences, or visit other properties or technology vendors.

    The Director of IT may be required to work outside of regular business hours to address emergencies or perform system maintenance during off-peak times.
