    Description


    Due to a significant increase in volume, a large academic center in the Midwest is recruiting a spine fellowship-trained neurosurgeon.

    Interests in scoliosis and all other aspects of spine will be well supported. Interests in peripheral nerve is welcome though not required. This position requires a spine fellowship or equivalent experience.

    The position is a split opportunity between a community hospital in the area and the main campus. The new hire can expect 60% time spent at the community center and 40% at the main campus.

    The community hospital is a 144-bed non-trauma designated center and is part of a 14-hospital health system. The academic center is a level I teaching hospital and part of a large health system serving 4 states. It holds comprehensive stroke designation along with Level IV EMU status.


    Position Highlights:

    • Opportunity to participate in resident education and clinical research
    • Residents take first call, 5 APPs at main campus, 2 APPs at community hospital
    • Call at community center is consultative in nature
    • Dedicated Neuro-ICU beds at main campus
    • Medtronic & Stealth spine and brain navigation at both hospitals
    • Main hospital building new surgery center expected to open in January '23
    • Block O.R. time available at both hospitals
