    Summary :
    ZipRecruiter is looking for a Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.

    This is a critical role and function and you will be empowered to contribute to a best-in-class external reporting and technical accounting function.


    Key Focuses:


    Manage the company's external reporting process to produce high quality Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings in a timely manner including financial statements, MD&A, and disclosures.


    Stay current on changes to Accounting Standards Codifications (ASC) and SEC regulations and evaluate and communicate impact on company's financial reporting.


    Support the team with thoughtful technical accounting research and effective accounting analysis memos on complex and/or non-standard transactions such as adoption of new standards and other general corporate accounting matters (e.g., equity offerings).

    Contribute to maintaining the general ledger, including the preparation of month-end journal entries and reconciliation of account balances.

    Lead the coordination with external and internal auditors, including timely addressing audit requests and effectively managing communication amongst stakeholders.

    Drive process improvement by proactively identifying opportunities on an ongoing basis and effectively implementing process transformations


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA qualified

    5+ years of relevant work experience

    Big 4 public accounting experience

    Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to change

    A proactive approach to problem identification and remediation solutions

    Meticulous and superior attention to detail

    Assertive and open-minded - approach changes with a positive mindset


    Preferred Qualifications:
    SEC reporting experience, using Workiva, with a publicly-traded company

    Strong accounting and reporting background, familiar with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards

    Strong written and oral communication skills, and a great listener

    Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

    Strong people management skills, ability to mobilize the team to accomplish the end-goal in an effective and efficient manner

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$155,000.

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

    Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.


    Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
