Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 370-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County for more than 50 years.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse Postpartum
Mercy San Juan's Family Birth Place is the level 3 within the greater Sacramento Dignity Hospitals.

Our Family Birth Center is Joint Commission Certified for Perinatal Care and we follow the 10 steps to successful breastfeeding.

FBC consists of a 12 bed labor unit, 2 OR's, a 14 bed private postpartum unit, a PACU and 2 triage bays.

We average deliveries a month, and the department is supported by 8 Nurse Shift Managers, a Perinatal Safety Nurse and a Perinatal Nurse Educator.

The incumbent is a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families using a holistic approach.

The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge.

Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team providing leadership personal/professional development and conducting him/herself professionally.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• 1 year of post partum/newborn nursery RN experience
• Current CA RN licensure BLS & NRP certificate from American Heart Association
• Willingness to train to L&D

Pay Range
$ $79.28 /hour
