    Job Summary:

    The Associate Vice President of Donor Acquisition helps to manage donor acquisition strategies for all Hope Media Group brands. This role helps to lead and encourage the team that attracts new donors on-air, while also working with those teams who engage existing and lapsed donors off-air. This person works with the Vice President, Donor Acquisition to help design and implement on-air acquisition strategies and campaigns along with the processes to sustainably grow donor support at Hope Media Group. This position will have responsibility for on-air fundraising & Calendar Year-End campaigns and will collaborate with other staff and/or vendors on responsive fundraising and other acquisition strategies. This person will be attentive to donor's spiritual needs, while helping to ensure their team does the same. The Associate Vice President of Donor Acquisition prays with donors as needed. Hope Media Group the home of KSBJ, WayFM, Vida Unida and NGEN radio. This position resides in Houston, TX.

    Essential Functions:

    On-Air Drives and Campaigns
    • Co-hosts and/or coaches all HMG on-air fundraising drives (except Vida Unida) across 8 annual events.
    • Schedules, Plans and Executes successful Fiscal Year End (FYE) and Calendar Year End (CYE) campaigns for HMG brands (2 for each brand.)
    • On-air coaching/co-hosting for all HMG Generous Justice Campaigns
    • Works with Vice President, Donor Acquisition to coordinate "Giving Tuesday" plans across all brands.
    • Works with Brand PD's to supervise and coach all air-talent and guest hosts for all on-air fundraising drives.
    • Works with Brand PD's to insure all fundraising events adhere to individual brand-tonality.
    • Works with Brand PD's and Vice President, Donor Acquisition to create "training/learning experiences" for all on-air fundraisers.
    • Works with Brand PD's to talent-coach and manage donation-flow for CYE events.
    • Interfaces with the team(s) that write on-air fundraising messages.
    • Schedules and conducts pre-event workshops for all brands.
    • Works with Accounting and Finance and VP of Donor Acquisition to communicate revenue targets for all on-air campaigns.
    • Coordinates and schedules post-event de-brief sessions for all brands. Shares pertinent findings with HMG constituents
    • Collaborates with Data Science Department to conduct a tactical analysis and review of campaign measurement metrics. Communicates findings to key constituents.

    Management and Communication
    • Works with Vice President, Donor Acquisition to develop "The Art of Storytelling" for all air-talent between on-air fundraising drives
    • Works with creative teams to write/manage/and model Engagement 365 messaging for all brands (Vida Unida would be translated into Spanish)
    • Work with Vice President, Donor Acquisition to take 'winning messaging and best practices' from one brand and contextualize them for other HMG brands.
    • Schedules contract co-hosts as necessary for all on-air fundraising drives and Generous Justice Campaigns.
    • Creates and manages budget for contracted air-talent
    • Works with Administrative Assistant to book lodging for contract guests
    • Liaison with HMG legal on the creation/execution of performance contracts for event guests
    • Liaison with Communication managers to make sure all event communications (internal & external) are working correctly and managed in WRIKE.
    • Work with Vice President, Donor Acquisition to develop, train and guide teammates, air-personalities, vendors, and content creators in the principles of Biblical stewardship and Hope Media Group donor cultivation best practices.
    • Manages to key performance metrics and meets or exceeds quarterly rocks, goals, and metrics (along with other short and long-term goals.)
    • Speaks to the effectiveness and operational status of the HMG Fundraising Suite of Tools (FST.)
    • Maintains awareness of industry fundraising trends and best practices.
    • Backstops Vice President, Donor Acquisition as needed.

    • Participates in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed.
    • Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship.
    • Exhibits a strong moral character.
    • Is an active member of a Bible believing local church.

    Requirements

    Education

    Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in Marketing, Fundraising, or Broadcast Programming

    Experience

    Minimum of four years' experience in the non-profit field, working in areas designed to increase donor acquisition.

    Two to five years in direct marketing, on-air radio fundraising campaigns, or other media-based funding campaigns.

    Creation/execution of Donor engagement campaigns.

    Experience with integrated fundraising campaigns, including direct-mail, social media, and e-mail channels.

    Minimum five years' experience in broadcast radio or other relevant field

    • Track-record of leadership with strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to engage, influence, and build long-term relationships.
    • Expertise with fundraising databases
    • Ability to craft compelling fundraising copy, serve as editor, and proofread to ensure accuracy and brand compliance.
    • Research skills and ability
    • Strong project management skills with proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Able to prioritize and multi-task within a fluctuating workload.
    • Able to work independently and on teams with minimal supervision.
    • Comfortable with a flexible work schedule.
