Senior Design Engineer:

At Curtiss Wright we specialize in the design, engineering and manufacturing of a wide variety of systems and components for the aerospace and defense industry. We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team. You will be performing various analyses, designing and/or assembling related to manufacturing and engineering projects. You will also estimate design / manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Supervisory experience is considered a plus, this role has potential growth opportunity leading to managerial position.

SALARY RANGE:

$105,000 130,000/year

YOUR CHALLENGE:

+ Perform detailed failure analysis of customer returned products (LVDT)

+ Manage highly visible projects that are related to cost savings, error reduction and delivery improvements.

+ Facilitate communication with external and internal customers, produce detailed reports and new design presentations (CDR, PDR).

+ Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of engineering operations.

+ Manage initiatives while ensuring project completion; organize, prioritize, and work simultaneously on multiple projects schedules.

+ Being able to commit to excellence and exemplary internal and external customer service.

WHAT YOU BRING:

+ Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering required.

+ 6+ years of relevant industry experience aerospace preferred a plus

+ Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.

+ Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.

+ Knowledge of basic electronic and mechanical assembly principles.

+ Strong leadership and mentoring experience.

+ Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate with others to provide effective

+ Experience with mathematical concepts (probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry) and apply concepts to practical situations.

+ Experience with SolidWorks CAD software and continuous improvement.

+ Some travel to our facility in Mexico is required.
