    About the Role

    The IT Infrastructure Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and migrating both physical and cloud-based infrastructure systems brought to Hub International through Mergers & Acquisitions(M&A) and critical to HUB's business operations. They are responsible for Servers, Storage, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and Application Delivery Platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure IT Infrastructure is sufficiently robust, secure and simplifies delivery of integrated services across the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Working knowledge of Windows server, AD, DNS, WINS, cloud compute environments, Microsoft office suite, Office 365, Exchange 365
    • Expertise with Windows Operating Systems, including SMB/CIFS, DNS, Active Directory, and WSUS, Windows Imaging WDS/MDT
    • Experience with operating system lifecycle management.
    • Expertise with various consumer and enterprise operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android) operating at scale.
    • Expertise with Infrastructure as a Service platforms including VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP and OpenStack
    • Ability to determine root-cause for incidents, correlate recurring incidents to systemic problems, and drive towards resolution.
    • Server Platforms (ESX, VMware, XenServer, Windows Server, Red Hat, Ubuntu, Azure and AWS)
    • Storage Platforms (Windows File Server, DFS, CIFS, SMB, NFS, SFTP, Block Replication, Deduplication, Storage Migration, Data Encryption, Azure Blobs - Files - Managed Disks & Data Lake Storage, AWS S3 - Glacier - Aurora & RDS)
    • Backup & Restore Services (Windows Server Backup, Azure Backup, AWS Backup)
    • Authentication (Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect)
    • Server Patching and Management (SCCM, Ninja One, ESX, XenServer, UCS Firmware, vSphere)
    • Disaster Recovery (Site Recovery Manager, Active Directory Authoritative Restore and object level restore, AWS, Azure)

    Qualifications:

    • Server, Storage and Networking preferred certifications from Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Cisco, AWS, and Azure.
    • 5+ years of experience as Infrastructure Engineer required.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency in corporate tools and software: Service Now, Office 365, Email migration, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
    • Strong sense of customer service, values, and ethics

    • Time management with the ability to organize, assess, and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

    Although hybrid to Chicago is preferred, this position is open to remote candidates.

    Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $120K to $130K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
