- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2-3 years Accounting experience in a progressive, complex and sophisticated accounting environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience is required.
- Blackbaud knowledge and experience is preferred.
- Payroll experience is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in health care, including third party reimbursement mechanisms; grants management and FQHC considerations and applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of Financial systems and processes.
- Ability to lead complex projects from start to finish. t
- Able to communicate effectively and lead others through change and new strategic initiatives.
- Able to work within a team environment and assist with coaching and developing others.
- Ability to grasp the agency's short and long term priorities and develop systems, processes and policies to support the achievement of them in a cost effective manner.
- Sound knowledge of compliance regulations for organizations working within the not-for-profit sector.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both orally and through written communication.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively within time constraints.
